Went to eat at Mak's Place on Saturday nite. Never been there before but we were ard Kembangan area and we were hungry. So there. heh
Yummy!
And yesterday, we watched The Aviator. At first we were kinda apprehensive coz it was 3 hrs long after all. But having heard rave reviews about it, and having nuthin better to do, we decided to catch it anywayz.
I liked Leonardo Di Caprio in Romeo & Juliet. Mainly coz i found him reallie cute at that time. But then sumhow his attraction simply waned.. mebbe coz i grew up and realised that he's juz too childish lookin for my taste. heh But nevertheless, his acting has always been superb, ever since he was young (ie. What's eating Gilbert Grape).
I was totally convinced in his role as Howard Hughes. The movie was pretty captivating for me coz i enjoy biographical movies about real people. It wasn't that captivating for my darling bf coz he ermz fell asleep sumwhere in the middle. :P He didn't knoe wat was happening in the movie.. he didn't even knoe who Katherine Hepburn was! I juz stared at him incredulously. The ignorance. tsk tsk. He onli kinda perked up a little when he found out that Howard Hughes designed The Hercules, the biggest airplane ever.. and is largely used in the army nowadays. What izzit wif men and toys? :P I suppose some people might find it a little draggy.. but i dun.
In certain parts of the movie, u juz can't help but pity Howard Hughes.. but i've read sumwhere that in real life, he was also rumoured to be a bisexual and a racist. Neither of which was potrayed in the movie. Hmmz..
