Went for the US trip briefing yesterday. Pretty exciting stuff. We're gonna haf to get our airline tics and travel insurance by ourselves and reach US by 23 April latest. So we'd better be getting quotes from travel agencies now.
All of us, about 3 classes of students, will be staying at the Marriot and me and 3 other frenz haf decided to room in together at the penthouse suite! hee There are 2 types of rooms that we can choose from, studio suite and penthouse suite. Studio suite can take up to 3/4 pple but there's onli 1 bathroom. Penthouse can take up to 5/6 pple. We've decided on the penthouse even though there's 4 of us coz well.. I doubt us 4 gals can share 1 bathroom especially with vainpots like me. Penthouse suite has 2 bathrooms.. anddd its 2 storeys! With kitchen, TV, 2 queen sized bed and a sofa bed. Breakfast is given and its probably the onli thing i dun reallie haf to worry abt coz we're gonna be given bagels, dry cereals and things like that. So i guess i dun reallie haf to worry there. But for lunch and dinner.. its gonna be quite a task finding halal food. So i'm planning to bring packetsss of maggi mee! hee Or else i'll haf to live on vegetables.. which is bad coz i'm vege-intolerant. Ugh.
As exciting as it is.. i guess its gonna be kinda hard too. I've never been away dat long. The longest i've been away from home without my family was 1 week and that was a course trip during poly to Perth. Which was totally fun btw even though the hotel sux. heh This trip to Oklahoma City will last almost a month.. and its not gonna be a holiday coz we'll be attending lectures and stuff like dat. But at least we won't be living on campus.
Oh damn.. which reminds me.. I'm gonna be takin this module there called Wellness. And we've been told that there's gonna be sessions at the GYM! We will be expected to run and stuff like dat. Damnit! The last time i had to do running exercises was in Sec 4! So now, on top of shopping for warmer clothings (it's gonna be abt 15-20 degrees there, its Spring time baybeh), i haf to shop for gym clothing. Since i'm not much of a sporty person, i dun reallie haf sporty clothings. Duh. Oh and.. i also haf to bring formal dress or suit for the graduation ceremony which is actually a mock one and we will be given a blank folder. Pfftt. And there might be a trip to the governor's office where we'd haf to wear formal too. I'm already thinking of what i haf to shop for. Shopaholic me. heh
Before all of that though, i still haf to go through 1 more module here in SG and 2 exams, one of which is on next Saturday. Which for some unfathomable reason, has been pushed to the very back of my head. :P
